Lily Watt is the pen name of author Prue Brown, who loves telling stories to young children that are based on real-life experiences. Though she has previously published award-winning academic works on public policy and politics under her real name, she has now taken on the pseudonym Lily Watt to pursue her passion for children's picture books.
With my new works of fiction, I write stories that range from lighthearted family comedies to more searching stories about courage and belonging — but they're all rooted in real family life and the small moments that shape how children see the world. I hope to promote themes of strength and resilience in young readers, as well as the unbreakable bonds within families.
