About me

Lily Watt is the pen name of author Prue Brown, who loves telling stories to young children that are based on real-life experiences. Though I have previously published award-winning academic works on public policy and politics under her real name, I have now taken on the pseudonym Lily Watt to pursue my passion for children's picture books.
With my new works of fiction, I write stories that range from lighthearted family comedies to more searching stories about courage and belonging — but they're all rooted in real family life and the small moments that shape how children see the world. I hope to promote themes of strength and resilience in young readers, as well as the unbreakable bonds within families.
