Author
Lily Watt is the pen name of author Prue Brown, who loves telling stories to young children that are based on real-life experiences. Though she has previously published award-winning academic works on public policy and politics under her real name, she has now taken on the pseudonym Lily Watt to pursue her passion for children's picture books.
With her new works of fiction, Lily hopes to promote themes of strength and resilience in young girls, as well as the unbreakable bond between mothers and daughters. Lily draws inspiration from her own adventures in parenting and channels her creativity into crafting tales that spark the imagination. Her goal is to create stories that educate and empower young readers.

Illustrator
Roya Halavati is an illustrator who originally came to Australia from Iran to study music and teaching. After overcoming initial culture shock, Roya found new creative outlets in the visual arts. Though she continues to enjoy playing piano, she has more recently taken up learning the cello as another musical pursuit.
Roya brings her passion for music into her illustrations through rhythmic compositions and harmonious colour palettes. She finds inspiration in nature, patterns, and textures that surround her. Roya's goal is to create vibrant, whimsical artwork that elicits wonder and joy in children and adults alike.
